Scaper. . .

I've learned that (most of the time) when somebody says "I heard from a guy. . . " that it's like the Indian Rope Trick, or like the guy somebody knows who bought surplus government Harleys from an auction for $10.00 each. Many people have hard about it but no one has actually seen it.

Believe me. . .if it were a real problem. . . it would be all over this site as well as the others.

Relax, take a clensing breath, put'er in gear and enjoy.

Scaper, I haven't driven a tractor yet that is not sluggish in high range. High range to me is important to get from place to place but not for loader work. My old (95) New Holland 2120 was so sluggish in high I quit using high except on paved roads going downhill. My International 454D is sluggish in high that is 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. The TC 45D I drove was sluggish in high, inform about the tractor you drove that was not sluggish in high, Rat...

Hi Rat, the tractor that wasn't sluggish was the TC33D I bought. From dead stop to full speed there was ne lag in the power band. I drove 5 different L3010 and they all did the same thing died in high range, hydros and shuttle shift alike. I felt that the extra weight of the Kubota was the main factor. It performed quite well in low and mid range but I have some farms that I cut that have a one and a half mile driveway. Both are Dupont family farms in Maryland. So it does matter to me that it isn't sluggish when I start in during a thunder and lightning storm. I also felt that the New Holland fit me alot better then the other makes. I love Kubotas and maybe one day I amy own another but for right now I still feel that I made the right choice. Interesting that your TC35D is sluggish in high range, maybe it's the extra weight of the unit and only 2 Hp more them my TC33D thats the factor. My unit weighs around 2500 lbs. as I remember whats yours weigh. Scaper

Scaper, the NH's are great ergo tractors. I personally don't own one nor know of any folks around me that own one. Was wondering how the loader control stick works out being more on the fender? I only got to look at the TC33, no test drive. Looks like a great tractor, Rat...

My 2710 is certainly not sluggish at highway speed - even against the wind uphill in 6 feet of snow /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

I'm only 5'10" (210 pounds) and my 2710 is very comfortable to spend lots of time on, so I can see how a taller man might be cramped for space.

If there was a big problem with the NH hydro I'm sure somebody would have been on here crying about it. In two years on this and the previous board I have never heard of any problems with the NH hydro.

This is to Rat and Alan, Well first off I don't have the loader control on the fender with my TC33D. Leslie Fog, my selling dealer made a special bracket for me when I closed the deal on the TC. My boot size is 15 and my big arse foot wouldn't fit between the hydro foot control and the loader control housing. So I told them I'll buy the unit but you have to fit it with the old style loader control bracket. This bracket was used on the older style 1630 and so on. Well that would have been great but no way to make it work on the Boomer. So the shop forman , New Holland and myself came up with a one time loader valve post and used the old style control valve and outlet ports. Well you can't tell it's not factory, as a matter of fact when I had the unit in for service one time a gentalman asked me about the loader control valve being up top and not by the foot controls. He said he was going to purchase a new tractor and he liked the valve up top as it had been on his older ford. Well I guess now there are two like mine out there. I really like the up top mount myself since thats where I learned to control the loaders on the farm. To Alan, I loved the 2710, it ran quite nice when I demoed the first one Stolsfuse (Sp.) equipment got in. The four cylinder ran quiet and strong. The darn foot pedels were too high for me to control the tractor. When ya have to lift up a 37" inseam leg to put a foot on the control it causes a bit of discomfort. I liked the unit for it's size and power. The one thing I have said is that with the extra weight the 3010 just didn't have enough "git up and go." it seemed like it got up and went before I got on. Shame but thats my two cents. I hopoe your happy with your tractor they are very nice units, it's just like you said a bigger person is cramped. Heck I even liked the large Cub Cadets and was all ready to get one until I sat on it. Boy talk about cramped try one of those at a local dealer. Nice heavy tractor but made for asian sized persons, not being nasty just honest. That is one tight fit for us small fellers. Scaper

I guess they haven't changed a lot in the last few years. In 1995, I was considering the Cub Cadet (had a Cub Cadet riding mower that I liked at the time), but once I got on the tractor, I knew that wouldn't do; didn't even start the engine. However, the B2710 fits me pretty well./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
