Boss' repairs on company time

Regardless of who owns the company or the vehicle the worker was asked by his boss to do a job. He should have done that job to the best of his ability. It is not up to him to punish or dictate company policy to his boss. If his boss has to answer to another boss then it is up to the big boss to punish who he deems wrong and I doubt it would be the worker.

It seems a lot of employees take matters into their own hands now. I have to deal with this quite often but it seems it is hard to get employees to keep their mouth shut and do the task assigned to them. I would have fired that mechanic and possibly more if there was any damage to the truck either caused directly by him or by something he did.

There's a big difference between a worker not liking the fact that his "boss" may get company perks and assisting his "boss" in stealing from the company. If the "boss" in entitled the work should be done top notch, if not entitled there's probably a method of reporting the theft. Doing intentional bad work is unacceptable in either case. MikeD74T

Being HAPPY with your job is (at least) as important as the numbers on the paycheck.

EXACTLY. I have had numerous chances in the last few years to go elsewhere,and make big bucks.I like my job,i have alot of freedom.My supervisor treats me like an equal.I dont have to kiss his butt,and i can speak my mind,and i do.The benefits are great.The strange part is ,no other person wants to do my job.It is both physically and mentally exhausting.My friends think im nuts,but i stay in great shape and when your busy, the day goes by fast.Its funny,when im not there ,they fight over ,who has to do it.I also like ,knowing ,i earned my pay check...nuts huh?
Alot of us have great work ethics and attitudes,but lazy uncooperative coworkers can bring you down sometimes cant they?
