On my L2800, it is directly behind the brake pedal.. 0ne inch hose with spring clamps holding it in place.. not difficult to get to or take off... I suppose there'd be nothing wrong with using a 90 degree elbow and a straight piece of one-inch hose to make the final connection. The replacement hose from the dealer cost $28.80, so the replacement isn't a biggie. The important thing is to realize why your 'Bota has lost it's power steering. It's not a major problem or repair and I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about it. Okidokers?

I'm pretty sure I will not purchase another hose just to crack in another 3-4 yrs (probably on a weekend during a snowstorm when I need the tractor to be working). I found this on the Gates Website.
