ok, maybe this is dumb and shows inexperience but I won't know otherwise. Can't find anything on hooking up bottom plows to tractor (only ones i ever used before was with two mules!)
I recently stalled at TSC on buying a tiller as I knew for new ground I would need a bottom plow to break up soil first and still give me time to think about the tiller (type and size). So TSC only had 2 bottom plows in stock and I wanted to go ahead and use that first. I probably just needed a single plow but didn't want to wait 2 weeks.
so, I get home and take off my rear blade, figure out the hydraulic attachment for my offset LP 3584 doesn't unscrew but just snaps out like a garden hose coupling (after fiddling with it for an hour)
then.....I try lining up bottom plow...now's the dumb part. Every picture and every description of plows shows the bracing for the top link on top....this KingKutter plow has the bracing on bottom for the toplink.
Did the TSC folks assemble this wrong? or is there something I am suppose to do? Was this just the way it came in crate to TSC from KingKutter. No one there was much help.
also, do the side lift bars on 3 pt lift go on INSIDE of plow braces or OUTSIDE?

I just went to the King Kutter Web site and they do not show any bottom plows in their product line. Just looked over the TSC Blue Book and it does not reference the plow manufacturer. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif They also sell implements manufactured by Wallace - could not find any info on them!! /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I would change the bracing to match the picture. A lot of the equipment needs assembly after shipping and someone probably was not paying close attention to the instructions.

somebody put the tail wheel on my brush cutter upside down - and just looking at it, they shoulda known better. bet it's the same deal with your plow - minimum wage sometimes gets ya what ya pay for.

It sounds like the folks at your TSC are not real bright. I'm fairly sure that King Kutter does not make any plows. What color is yours? If it's red, then it's probably a Wallace, which is the other brand that TSC sells. Here's a link to their site:

My guess is the TSC folks assembled it wrong.

SmokyMtnMan,
I'm no expert on plows, but it looks to me that the top link mounting bracket is upside down. Looks like a lift pin (may not be the right term) is missing as well. I've never used one myself even though I went out back and stared and stared at my neighbors 2 bottom plow, wondering if my YM1700 will pull it. And yours is definately not assembled like his is.
