Well after a bunch of pricing with three different dealers, I actually found out that the prices people are getting on this forum are better than I can do unless I find a dealer who doesn't want to make any money. I ended up not even going with the cheapest place, because I felt the responsiveness of my salesman and service department knowledge were so good at the place I chose. I'm sure I could have done better but honestly I didn't want to bleed the guy for every last $100, since after all is said and done I wanted him to get paid for his hard work. In the end I chose the place because I felt they would be there for me after the sale more than the other places.
So for the record:
JD 3320
- eHydro
- iMatch
- 3rd (rear) SCV
- larger size R4 tires, loaded
- air seat
- automotive cruise
- rear work lights
- warning light brush guards
- front work light kit
- receiver hitch w/ iMatch bushings
MSRP as configured: $20,067
Paid (incl. freight and setup): $18,200
300cx FEL
- 61" HD bucket
- level indicator
- ballast box w/ iMatch bushings
- deluxe brush guard
MSRP as configured: $4,611
Paid (incl. freight and setup): $3,900
JD MX5 rotary cutter
- iMatch bushings
MSRP as configured: $2,099
Paid (incl. freight and setup): $2,000
Frontier BB2060 box blade
- iMatch bushings
MSRP as configured: $1011
Paid (incl. freight and setup): $800
Plus the guy threw in a tractor play set for my kiddo, a $24 value
So all told, the MSRP figured out to $27,788, and I paid $24,900. This turns out to be a hair better than 10% off MSRP.
For the record I probably could have done about $500 better at another dealer, who was quoting me the same on everything but $400 less on the FEL and $100 less on the MX5. But he took days to get back to me on questions instead of hours, and didn't have nearly as much helpful advice.
I'm happy with the deal I got and feel like I'm going to have a good relationship with my dealer in the coming years.
Now I just have to wait 3 days, and he's delivering it to my doorstep! I'm excited
Nathan
