Just went into my Woods dealer login. Woods BH65 subframe backhoe to mount on BX 60 models (would need to confirm fitting on 70 models) with 9" bucket, orange, subframe kit and hose kit should run you right around $5-5.5K.

By the time you did this and added a FEL you'll have a bastardized tractor for about what you could have bought a BX25 for. Penny wise and a pound foolish in my opinion. None OEM FELs and BHs don't return anywhere near the original investment. I my self would never buy a BX with BH that wasn't a BX23, BX24, BX25 factory designed and built but I'm not in the market for one. :)

Besides the pucker factor for all you guys mowing up and down those steep hills, is anyone ever concerned about the engine oil pump sucking air and not oil when on such a steep slope ? Is the oil pump located in the front or rear of the engine in the oil pan ? Or is it not a concern as long as the oil is at the proper fill level on the dipstick ?

I side hill and to be honest it feels like a billygoat and seems to stay put. there is a few "gopher holes" and "dips" that makes yoru butt pucker for a second but ive realized that she really isn't going anywhere. I just keep the ROPS up, wear the seatbelt, and take her slow. No issues yet but I will admit the first week it was unnerving because I was green in the seat and the rear tires weren't loaded so she could be rocked enough to raise a wheel but no so much now. takes a really steep incline to make me feel unsafe but then again there is something to be said to the fact that this is usually how your get hurt or killed.....complacency

as for the engine and oil pump....not looked into it but my dealer said he does and has seen people mow steeper with older and have no issue so I just go at it....

im still thinking about if I need to own a hoe vs renting. as much as I want and can think of a few jobs its really not a 6000 need. The loader ive been told is a swiss army knife and a must for any tractor. Decisions decisions. My promotion is still in the planning process so nothing gonna happen until I know the when, what, and how much's of that. Gonna make or break the decision.

A Kubota factory loader can be installed on your tractor with no negative impact. Hopefully yours came with the loader valve installed and if so it's no problem to install and if not it's just more money but required.
Ask your dealer what it will cost to add FEL to your tractor. You'll never regret adding the FEL, never.
I didn't have a BH for years and if I didn't have the rental property with the 6 septic systems and a business deductable machine, well the BH was a bitter pill for me to swallow but I'm doubting I'll ever go without one again because of the having handy factor and my brother next door needs it often and my neighbors.
I think the BH is a luxury feature on the BX for most of us landscaping home owners but really handy and saves the back and for me inspires me to go ahead and get/move another tree, grass or move some big rocks that are on my land in abundance.
You'll stop your side hilling, probably, if you get a BH. And going from a BX to a B will make your anxiety return and probably in a bigger way. Bigger ISN'T BETTER, NO HOW, NO WAY....bigger is just bigger and I've had bigger. Your needs 95% of the time should determine your machine. The other 5% of the time needs can be hired out or done very slowly with the smaller machine.
