Well I have moved up slightly from my Tonka toys. I bought a Komatsu D20A dozer last week. It is a 40hp with a 6 way blade and weighs in at nearly 9000 lbs. I have attached a picture.

Funny you should ask about my wife. She has already said that she will be glad when the new wears off and I quit talking about it. After all my friends finished test driving Saturday I started pushing and clearing on my grandmother's place that I am getting ready to buy. A dozer really speeds things up.

Nice looking Dozer. What does one of those go for down in Alabama?

They go for about $10K. Because I am a dealer I was able to pick it for a wholesale price.

Brent...

What is the MSRP on this type of dozer and what could a retail customer expect to pay? What are its capabilities.....in terms of size of stumps it's able to remove and trees it can knock over?

That $10K price is the regular price, I got it for less than $10K. As for stumps and trees, I am not a good one to ask yet as I am still learning the fine art of dozer operating. Saturday I was pushing 6-8 inch diameter trees out left and right and occasionly I would get after one with a good root system that cause me to spin the tracks. I got one tree over that was around the 10-12 inch dia that was on a slope. The best thing so far is that evrything it does, it does it a lot faster than the 30hp tractor with loader that I had. I never expected to take out anything real big when I bought it and I am sure as with anything, in a month or so I will wish I had something twice as big. For now I am really happy with it and never imagined myself having a BULLDOZER!

Nice looking dozer you have there. When you decide to buy something bigger look me up then for I have a couple big brothers to that one and a cousin too. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah for that year that is a nice price for one in nice condition but of course the newer the more $$.
