I bought a JD 4300 from the owner of the house that we are buying. Tractor comes with a 430 loader, bucket, blade, and a Frontier RC2060 brush hog. I want to pick up a finish mower and a small plow for the garden. Tractor is a hydrostatic 4wd.

Attachments will be farm auction or craigslist.
I think that I can go with either a 5' or 6' finish mower. I don't want to mess with a belly mower so it will be a 3 point. Is a 6' too much (25.5 hp on the PTO)? Any mower brands to run away from?
What size plow can I pull? I am thinking 3 at most. Is that too big? The garden will be less than 50x50 so I don't need much.
