Find a wrecked POS that has a lift gate/ramp contraption that would work and transplant it to your truck.

Those are some good leads. I need to do some research on what these gates weigh and look for the most capacity with the least weight. I had checked out an 02 with an aluminum gate the other day. The truck was beat but the gate still worked pretty well. That would be sweet.
