I dug up a picture of a Pro-Hauler and now that I think about it. The odd rear rim and brake drum I believe is from one. I have mismatched rear rims i'm going to replace and the rim sure looks like the one in the picture.

Dave, I've seen pictures of the ProHauler but never seen one for sale anywhere.

I have never seen one either. Never a TerraPro, either. Rare birds.

The ProHauler was a 2WD machine with a locking differential. Rear diffs on ATVs are almost as rare as
PTOs. The YFU1W ProHauler was one of only 3 models I have found that had one.

I meant to say 4 models had a diff, including the current Polaris 550 X2 Turf and the 86-04 Kawasaki Bayou KLF300A.

The TerraPro seems to have only one rear brake, as does the ProHauler. That means rear brakes won't do
much in unlocked mode. Hmmm.

It has four wheel drum brakes. The two front are cabled off the handlebar brake. The rear are both hydraulic and mechanical hand emergency brake. I'm looking for a rear drum and rear rim now to replace a mismatch someone put on.

Interesting. The parts list shows only one, as with the ProHauler. Maybe the PH also has 2,
but they are the same, so the diagram shows only one. Since the parts are not
available from any dealer, the online parts list does not even show the quantities needed.

Here's another rarity for the TerraPro: it has a manual tranny with hand clutch. Can you think
of any other utility quad with manual tranny?

Hello guys! I just came into possession of a Terrapro and have been looking for people who know something about them. Looks like I found the place. I just got it home yesterday and started tearing into it today. I drained the fuel (looked like red wine), cleaned the air box (packed full of rat nesting), and pressure washed the mess out of it. It has been sitting for about a year or two. Put new fuel in and after about 5 minutes of tweaking it fired up! It only runs mainly while I have the choke on and sometimes when I turn the choke off. Figure I will run a good bit of carb cleaner through it and blow it out. If that doesn't work I will see about having the carb pulled and cleaned unless anyone has other suggestions. Oh, I forgot to mention it was given to me because the owner didn't want to mess with it. I started pressure washing the years of grime off of it and it is somewhat blue again but I will need decals. Kid, where did you order yours from?

Your pilot jet is clogged. It is very hard to remove from the hole it is down in. You need a long slender flat blade screw driver to get it out. It must fit perfectly or you'll strip the head. I had to buy one off of a snap on truck to get the right one. Being long, you can put a bit of torque on it and it's hard to explain but the torsion of the long 12" skinny shaft helps remove the pilot jet. Next, get yourself a small wire bristle brush and pluck 1 wire with needle nose. Use this to poke thru the pilot jet's hole. You need to put on safety glasses and spray carb cleaner with the straw tube into the small hole where the pilot came out. One of the holes supplies gas thru some microscopic holes that are in the intake hole just where the butterfly flap seals when closed. These are your idle circuit holes. Today's gas with ethanol is horrible. Put some marine stabil in your gas and do not let it stay for long in the carb for extended periods. Also get yourself a small inline fuel filter and install it. Good luck.

Kyle, do you think running some Seafoam through it first might help or do you think I just need to go straight for the jet? Where exactly should I look for the pilot jet? I am a bit mechanically inclined but not real good with smaller engines.

Does anyone have an electronic copy of an owners manual or repair manual they could share for the Terrapro?

No snake oil will work. You have to physically poke something thru the tiny hole.
Buy a new needle and seat assembly while your at it.
