That is a great trailer and the right way to set up a tailgate. My wife should have bought one last time around but wanted a new boat and motor instead. Before that it was a street rod. Golly we take good care of these women and my hat is off to a fine man like you that understands. Your wife is a lucky woman.

Nikdfish- Great trailer you have there. What is the labelled GVWR, and how much does it weigh? We have a PJ tilt bed trailer, the hydraulic system looks about the same as yours, its been trouble-free.

This must be a model D5?

I got a 5x10 Loadtrail which is nearly identical to the PJ. It has the same charging system which works well. I also got the roll up tarp which is a great time saver. I added 2x12s on the sides for total of 36", my B21 can dump over the sides OK. I also added chains inside stretched from front to back, this allows for easy cargo tie down and does not interfere with dumping. I like the small footprint, it can fit anywhere and is easy to move around. I use it for many different chores it is much handier than I thought. My wife likes it too, I have made huge progress on landscaping and property clean up since getting it.

Yup. Started with just one trailer. Now I have eleven! The neighbours sre starting to talk.

But I did control myself on the tractor front. Onl have one.

Yes, it is a dual axle D5. Side label says GVWR = 7,000 even. Max permitted cargo is 4,920 so weight empty should be 2,080 lb. I'm thinking I should cap heavy loads closer to 4,500 for a margin.

I'm in the process of adding side wall extensions using 5/4x6 treated planking against treated 2x6 cut down to fit the stake pockets that will add roughly 18". My roll up tarp should be getting in at the dealer sometime this week.

You could haul a yard and a half of gravel, that's not bad for an occasional home project.

Got the sides up. We have one last chore in WV before transferring the old house property over & that is removing a brush pile that accumulated over the last few years after moving away. The sides should help make for fewer trips to the mulching yard.

Not doing anything across the front til I see how the roll up tarp looks mounted.
