3-Point Hitch Bouncing three point

My Dk-35 three point bounces when raised with an implement attached. What is the problem?

Yes, in the up position. When I let it down, it is fine. Sitting in neutral with a six foot brush hog on, it will bounce the front tires

No, I don't

you need some front ballast.

Is there an adjustment on the draft control? The manual doesn't show anything.

yes same as the position control but you don't need that to cut.

Ballast can't be an issue be cause it will bounce when sitting still. It has been getting worse. When driving, you can feel it pulse. Also, it depends on which position the third link is in. In the lowest hole, it bounces slowly. In the top hole it bounces fast.

What do you mean by on? Is it lever position? I usually run it in the down position as I have always done.

The cylinder seal may be shot causing it to constantly drift down and correct itself.

12-13yrs old

raise 3 point with cutter on shut down tractor and post amount of time it takes to fall. Brad may be on to something

I will give that a try. Either cylinder seal or maybe in the valve?

Do you have somewhere to hook a chain up in place of the top link that does not pull on the draft sensing built into the normal top link mounting pin? Somewhere solid on the tractor. That would tell you if it is the draft control or not.
