Box Blade Build

Very nice job ! The welds look real smooth. Maybe put a couple of gussets where the flat bar attaches to the square tubing. Oh...and the dog is great looking also !

The blade itself looks great. Hard to tell but I'd be a little concerned with how the rippers are mounted. That sure is an easier way to mount them than cutting them thru the square tube. Are those tabs boxed around the back? It would be best if those mounting tabs were the same height as the square tube. I wouldn't rush out and rebuild them right away, just keep an eye on them for movement/twisting

those teeth aren't going anywhere it is 3/8 flatbar with 3 beads of weld on them.

Nope, probably not :) The top of the ripper is supported against the box tube which helps a lot. Couldn't see that in the first pics

Looks good.

I have often wanted to build a box blade (pull type) from scratch but don't have a way to deal with the mold board shaping. How did you accomplish the curves or bends in the plate?

I called a favor in the machine shop I used to work at and had them break it. in all reality you could weld a 6 inch piece of flatbar on a 45 and get the same results
