We are just about to finish our house and it comes with a 1/4 mile gravel driveway that needs to be maintained. I will also use it to keep a 1/3 mile dirt road at the farm operable a time or two a year. That will about be the extent of it useage.

I have a Yanmar 2310D to use. Probably going to get a 5' model. King Kutter is available locally, also looking at the United 560HD. What do you guys think? Some other brand.....one better than the other?

Thanks,
Keith

That is one thing I bought my compact for was to maintain my 3/4 mile DR. I just bought a BB that was the same width as my rear wheels. Make it easier not to catch it on anything your getting close to. I have seen the KK at tractor supply and is made as well if not better then mine. Which I don't use much now that I have all the problem areas worked out.

I have the United 560 on my Kubota L3400 and have been very pleased with it. I like the fact that the 3 pt. pins are supported on both ends... seems to be stronger. I did find that I had to add weight to it to perform optimally, but that was easy to do since I had a couple of extra forks that strapped nicely on top of the boxblade... added about 200 lbs.

I have a tc-30 New Holland with a 5ft. box blade.I wish it was about 6"wider so it would clear my tires bu a few inches so when I make a"cut" It would cut straight with ought riding up on the not cut ground. That would keep the tractor level.Dont get me wrong it will work for you, but a few inches to clear will be of benefit.
Army Grunt
Where about in N/east Ga.?

I prefer close to the same mine is still a few inches bigger. If I had problems with the BB being to small easy fix for me I just reverse my rear tires back.
Army grunt. I'm in Walton Co. about 20 miles from Athens.

Keep in mind that weight is your friend when grading. So I would be looking for the heaviest one that I could find that is the width that you want.

My Mahindra 3215 is about 60" wide, but I went with a 66" wide roll over box blade and am very happy with it.

I have a Gannon 54" rollover that I'm in love with. Not sure they even make the 54" any more.

I also have a United 560hd it is very heavy duty.

My rollover is a Gannon also. Sadly :( when Woods shut down the Gannon factory in California last year, they also discontinued the manufacturing of their rollover box blades. We also have a 36" Gannon rollover for our Sears garden tractor. There are other companies that still make them, just not Gannon-Woods. :(

Tractor Suppply Co. has a 5' box blade for a very good price. Does anyone have one? Can you tell me what the weight is? I am very interested in a box blade for a counterweight; the Bush Hog is too bulky!
