BOX BLADE COMPLAINT

   / BOX BLADE COMPLAINT #31
If you don't think your dealer will help you than you should definitely call the manufacturer on this one. Customer service should be able to help you. Ask them what the proper length of the scarifiers should be from, let's say, tooth tip to the last hole. Then you would know for certain wether or not you received the right scarifiers when you bought the blade. They may offer to swap them out for you if the unit left the factory faulty. Obviously there was a mix up somewhere.
Hey for 25 cent phone call and a few minutes of your time you may end up with a good tool and save a few hundred bucks.

That is the most agressive angle for cutting, it has the most bite for the blade. To smooth the ground you need to adjust it back the other way and not use the rippers. Like everyone has said, you have the wrong rippers. Selling it will just cost you a lot of money for nothing.

Seems that we are unanimous that you have the wrong rippers.
Travis, you could even take one of your scarifiers with you and go to a dealer that has a SBX blade in stock and compare for yourself. I think all SBX models use the same teeth, so size doesn't really matter as long as it's a SBX.

Travis,

I took a look at the SBX manual from the Bushhog website. On page 7 there is a picture of an SBX 720 with scarifiers.

The scarifiers extend well below the bottom edge of the blade. If your scarifiers don't look like this then you have the wrong ones as others have said.

Good Luck,
