Box Blade maverick

After this winter, I have some extremely rough spots in the pasture from the cattle paths eroding. Should I use a box blade to try to smooth them, or will I be asking for trouble by removing grass? A few of the spots are baby erosion concerns in the making. I'd like to nip them in the bud, and wonder if the BB is the right choice.
