Thats Bob. That wasn't to bad. It answered all my questions, but one. Does the tabs go down in the holes?

Yes, the tabs goes down into the holes behind the scarifier teeth. They push the scarifiers forward so that the notches on the front of the scarifiers lock them against the square tube that they are captured in.

It is quite a sturdy system.

It does have the squared side panels and tail plate, but good weight and frame design:

My Frontier BB 2048 is made by Worksaver. I agree with you that the Frontier you have pictured is the light duty BB 1048L, I believe.
I really like the comparison that you put together. It's cool to see all the brands "side by side".

Bob, after looking at most of the photos you shared with us, they all seem to share what for me would be an inherent issue or problem. I have a much heavier duty box scraper with hydraulic rippers. Even at that with much thicker and shorter lower link attachment points, I am able to bend the steel. It's not enough to cause any problems, but I can well imagine my L3830 could quite easily bend any one of the box blades you have shown at the lower link attachment. The other is the shanks. I eventualy have replaced almost all my shanks with forged ones as I have snapped them off and as one might expect, right at the small notch. I don't know if having a hole in the center is better or worse, suffice it to say, even my little L3830 with HST can manage to snap them. When I had my L48, I had to be quite careful as if I ripped too hard, even the forged shanks would snap. Thanks for the photo comparision.
