Grading Box Blade pins too wide or lower arms too short?

Sounds like the lift arms on his tractor are either not original.. or tires are spaced way in.. otherwise he -should- have clearance for a standard cat 1 impliment.. etc..

Oh..by the way.. my kk 5' rotary cutter runs decently behind the ym1700.. with the longer lift arms.( oem pro shaft on that KK.. same as I use with muy N, and NH 1920 now.. ) So does the 30" scoop.. full to the brim with 500# clay. However.. the disc is just to heavy out on the ends of those long levers.. have to let the 8n disc.. I guess the disc is right at about 700# anyway..

Thanks for all the input. The arms on my tractor are straight and only extend about 8" behind my tires, it must have been one of the tiller configurations. Anyway, I am going to get new S shaped arms from Eddie's Imports, that should cure it. Now I have to learn how to use a box blade........

Sure would like to see a pic of your setup. 8" beyond the tires should be long enough if you use spacers to keep the arms to the inside of the pins. Assuming you have adequate/correct sway chains on your present arms, make sure you will also have on your new arms.

Good idea... The spacers could buy him, a couple inches easy.. keeping those pins pushed in.. etc.

that should cure the problem.
These are long & bent on the ends to miss the tires,

Update! I received the lower arms from Ernie, they are HEAVY DUTY! Took me less than 10 minutes to remove the old ones and install these. They fit perfect, come out past the tires and then bend out. Now I can attach my 5' BB and keep them out of the tires. Thanks Ernie!

Those new arms we have fit almost any yanmar,
and you dont have to spread them far to mount your implement.
