Can anyone tell me if box blade shanks with rear slots will work on a box blade that came with shanks with front slots? Having trouble finding reasonable priced shanks.

Pictures needed. How were the shanks held in place?

That is part of the issue I have never had any shanks. I bought the BB used and it did not have any.

I will call the dealer I use for attachments and see how much they are there. They have been pretty good on some items.

The bar is a 4 in square tube with a 3/4 x 2 1/2 in holes

My used BB came without scarifiers so I called the mfgr to price them out,
My blade takes 7 of them at $57 ea. and 3 retainers at $15 ea. plus freight.

I found them to be least expensive at Agri-Supply.

OP they should work. You my need to move the retaining pin to the front. I think the most common one's are center hole or front slot though.

Im not sure.

I went to a steel fab shop and they made me some and spot welded teeth on them for less than buying online or at a store. IMG_1212.JPG

I'm thinking they will work. Will probably end up trying them. The ones I was looking at are gone but am guessing they will have some more.

I guess I got lucky. I was at my LS dealer (about 10 years ago) and saw a pile of scarifiers laying by the door. Asked if they were for sale and how much, the owner said $5 each so I bought 4. Still have a couple left. They are easy to bend and break with my LS P7010 if using it in 4 WD. I find I do less damage to the teeth if I just use 2 WD. I do like those shop made ones, they look much thicker and stronger than the ones I have.

Quality Farm Supply has shanks with front slots for $30. Don't know how many you need, but they have flat-rate shipping of $9.00 on orders under $200; free if over $200.

Make sure the length is right and the notch spacing will fit the frame of the box blade.

Thanks that is the best deal I've seen. The BB is a Modern so they should fit. Need 6 of them for a full set. May watch CL for a while before ordering them. Have plenty to do.

Decided to go ahead and order 6 of the shanks and clips to go with them. Looks like just what I need. Thanks again for the recommendation!
