Thanks for all the replies!

I just wanted to be sure Woods (Gannon) was the way to go. My Woods HLB84 blade is setup with the three plates and the pin going through them. I just wanted to be sure the box was the same. I was actually looking for just a scarifier setup but I can only find Landpride scarifiers and do not look that strong for ripping on a larger tractor. I still would like just to get a scarifier setup, if possible, but it doesn't look good.

Any rough idea on price? Woods make an extra heavy duty... should I just stay with the heavy duty?

I really like Woods products in the performance. I have a stone rake, HBL84 blade, BB 720 cutter.

As far as bending the pins on my Woods BushBull 720 (medium duty) cut. The pins bolt through a plate, the 3pt arm gets held onto the pin by a clip. When turning or mowing on uneven ground they bend slightly and loosen up. Hopefully this problem will be solved when I get the new tractor because of the cat 2 pins.

You bet you'll see some pics... A lot of pics /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Again many thanks.

Years ago, I purchased a Gannon HD-315LR box blade for my 40 HP tractor. I am not sure what it was designed for, but later I purchased a tractor that would produce up to 125 PTO HP. I have run it behind that tractor & so far, have not bent anything on the box blade. It is 76" wide with 24" high back. At times I have seen it roll the dirt over the top of the back.

So I will have to vote for the gannon. (the only box blade I have ever used)

I think it's clear here but I just wanted to clarify in case it isn't. Woods & Gannon are the same company and the box blades under both names are in the same catalog. On some of my heavy duty implements, there is no pin attached to the implement. They are set up much like the top link where you align you lower arm between 2 pieces of metal and insert a pin. Much more than twice as strong. Very difficult to twist.

I agree! I was trying to rig something up like that on my cutter so I wouldn't bend anything. But I'm going to try using the cat 2 pins for the TN first.

I haven't seen my TN yet. I did drive a TN60DA the day I ordered my TN70DA. Should be here in early July. My dealer made an order from the factory to have it built rather than try to find one at another dealers lot. Not the fastest way.

Got a call back from a dealer today. Looks like a Woods XB84 (Extreme Duty) comes in at $1399. I also noticed that the Woods website says the scarifiers are optional. I didn't ask the dealer if that included them or not. Didn't realize they are optional.

The Gannon or Gill rollover landscaper's blade is hard to beat. Has forward/rip/reverse positions. You trip it from the seat with a lever. I have a 5' Gannon and a 6' Gill and they are both good. You should go at least 6' width. Will probably cost $2000+ new.

Hi Derek, when I saw your price for a boxscraper I had to take a look. Thats very inexpensive for a boxscraper of that size. It's a little more clear now that I visited the woodsonline site. Once you move into the construction area instead of landscape, things get quite a bit heavier and pricier I'm sure. Here's the Gannon 84" in the construction model, about 400lbs heavier. PS. My Gearmore 72" weighs almost as much as the Woods 84" your looking at.

Thanks Rat.

That surely looks very rugged! Maybe almost to rugged. I would like like to see that one. It looks like it hold more dirt too.
