i have closed about half of my shoot and it does blow alot better.i bent some steel and used selftapping screws for now then this spring if i like the way it works i will make it permenate,

Locally guys just slide some old tractor inner tube loosely in place and rivit in place. It flaps and self cleans.

Pronovost offers a Powder Cover for their chutes - so it's an idea that has a following. I use a piece of sheet metal with a bungee cord wrapped around the chute. Works fine, and easy to remove.
