Bracket on back of BX24 - what's it for?

In the attached photo, I'm pointing to a bracket that is on the back of my BX24. There's one on each side. What are these for? They look like good tie-down points for transporting, but is that what they're there for?

RayCo, as I was mounting my backhoe on Friday, I was thinking that exact same thing!

That's interesting. I've had the backhoe on and off about a dozen times, and it was just today when I was remounting it that I noticed it too.

They are for hanging the three point hitch on to keep it stationary. My BX2660 has them also. Move the arms for the three point hitch to them and it will stay stationary and not raise and lower with the deck.

I think you got it all wrong. We're supposed to be adding stuff.

I'll overlook this one, but one more infraction and I'm calling the accessory police.

i accessorized it by adding a d-ring to each one.

now i can easily run a chain between them to hold up the 3pt or use them as a tie down when transporting ;-)

i think i lost a little top end and my mowing mileage went down, but i do try to be a good TBNer and add accessories whenever possible....
