How many HP is your machine? That's a big hoe.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif You should update your profile and specifically put "Bradco 511" in your list of implements. Not many people have one.

BTW: I spend the first few years of my life on LI....South Shore around Bayport/Blue Point, then my family moved to S. Vermont (Manchester/Dorset). I'm right around Killington now.

My local Kubota Dealer priced the Kubota BH at $5500 and The Bradco BH at $4500.
This was for a B2410 Kubota Tractor.

That is not likely a 509 and I'd think that is a 3pt hitch model without a subframe, bucket, or freight. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The buckets are seperate and run around $500.

For some reason I was under the impression that the Grand Ls had a implement hydraulic flow rate of 9.5 GPM. I was wrong, it's only 8.3! Now the Bradco 509 calls for a min of 9.0 and max of 15gpm. I just don't know if a L3830 is capable of handling a 509 long term. Any thoughts?

You can get a PTO pump instead of running off tractor remotes. The BH uses very little power.

I run mine off the tractor and the engine doesn't know the BH is doing anything. The Woods PTO pump was 9 GPM if I remember correctly.

Multiple (3)functions at once are slow as in the case of swing, dipper and curl to dump a load. Single functions are fast and dual functions are fine when digging.

I would go with the upper end GPM PTO pump. That way you can throttle down from PTO speed. 15 GPM at PTO speed would probably make the hoe jerky.
