The Kubota dealer delivered my L5030 today after having them put rear work lights on it. As many know we have had 6 inches of rain and another inch in the past 10 days due to Hurricane Wilma. Anyway, I had to run out to work, so my wife handles the homestead and animals during the day.
The delivery guy shows up with the tractor, driving a dually and gooseneck equipement trailer with the L5030 loaded on the trailer. He pulls off my access road near the wetlands. (Big mistake) Meanwhile his rear wheels start to sink into the muck and wet sand. Normally this particular area is dry, but too much rain has made things a little soggy. My wife looks at him and he states, no problem, once the tractor is off, I should be able to pull out. He get s the tractor off, and is really stuck! My wife tells him no problem, grabs his tow chains off the trailer and proceeds to hook up the drawbar on the tractor with the chains to his tow hooks! The guy is amazed! She jumps in the tractor, puts it into Low gear and pulls him out! Needless to say, I don't think he was going to tell his co-workers that a housewife pulled him out of the mud. My 5 year old daughter asked mommy what she was doing, and the she laughed when mommy told her she was going to get the nice man out of the mud. The poor guy had my wife and toddler amused!
I am just too proud of my wife! And yes, she thinks my tractor is sexy! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
