Brand new BX 1500 (well almost)

Just picked up an 03 BX 1500 with just 270 hours with a 54" MMM from a fellow TBN member, this thing is in mint condition and it looks brand new. I've owned other tractors but this is my first experience with the BX series and I'm really impressed with the way it is built.
If any one has any tips or advise regarding BX operation/maintenance I'd be grateful.

I have a 2005 BX1500 with a 54" mower deck that was previously owned by a TBN member. Imagine that. Mine had 100 hours on it when I got it and has 300 hours on it now. I will say when you change the Hydro fluid use the SUDT2 or better. I changed my fluid and it made a big difference in the whine and perceived power.:thumbsup:

Thanks for the comments, the only problem is that I"ll have to wait until spring to use the mower.
I hope it won't get dirty.

I sure know what you mean, I bought my first one in mid October. I did, however, have a FEL and used it all winter; great little machines.

I will have to say that is a good looking BX tractor for its age. It looks to have been well cared for.

Congrats! Mine has about 540 hrs now and still starts and runs like new. Use it all year round for just about everything; mowing, snow plowing, tilling, towing, tree planting (w/phd), FEL work, etc. Don't be fooled by the low HP . It has plenty of power for its size. It has never left me wishing for more. Any time I have had thoughts about a bigger machine i've come back to the realization that you just can't beat it for manuverability and versatility.

I'm just curious. Why was the BX 1500 only made for about 3 years

I would love to know the sales numbers on them, they are perfect for alot of people.

I can't see a seatbelt or diff lock . Does it have these ?

Actually they are stilling building them but are now labeling them as BX1860s.

They came with seat belt and diff lock
