brand new Kioti tractor with issues

I have only had this tractor for about 2 weeks. It is a Kioti RX 7320 with powershuttle and cab I noticed today that after running for about 1/2 hour the temperature gauge is still on cold although there was heat in the cab. I also notice that the hour gauge seems off. It is on 6 hours and I know i have not had it running for 6 hours. I bought this tractor for the construction trade so i am not running it for hours on end brush hogging or ....

I had read an article about someone who added a cab and had a similar issue. The tractor came with the cab already installed. I did contact the dealer but have not heard back yet.

I have a 2007 Kioti DK45hst. I purchase my tractor brand new back in 07 after 22hrs the wire harness caught fire and melted the wires. They replace it and three years ago the fuel injector pump went bad. Only with 800 hrs. Kioti had problems with their injectors back than and never had a recall. The Kioti dealer in my area wanted $3200. to fix and repair the injector system. My brother & I did it for $600. I have that repair on YouTube.

. I just want to say that my Kioti is a great work horse tractor. At this time I only have 1,400 hrs. All oil/filters changed all the time and grease fitting all the time. Garaged kept since new. Dealers don't get paid much for warranty repairs so it's very important to deal with the right dealership. Things happen so get yourself a factory service manual.

I do think how the tractor is stored and cared for goes a long way. Moisture and weather wreak havoc on all things mechanical AND electrical, and these units become more digital daily.

These are tractors, not sports cars. A tractor should be designed to be reliable and operate well in all weather conditions, from extreme heat to extreme cold and during heavy rains and snows. Many farm tractors stay outside much of their life. Sure, keeping it indoors keeps the paint and plastics nicer, but mechanically these things should perform.

Many farm tractors stay outside much of their life. Sure, keeping it indoors keeps the paint and plastics nicer, but mechanically these things should perform.

Mechanically, sure... Even old reliable tractors suffer from electrical issues and gauge failures. Difference was, they didn't RELY on electrical sensors and wiring to RUN. These new more fragile units, do. Of course they should run well in all conditions... But storing them day and night in all conditions is a different thing. After being around tractors and equipment since the age of 6... I can say equipment stored well, is infinitely more reliable.

I don’t hear of many mice eating through wiring harnesses on tractors stored in a well constructed barn. Gauges aren’t fogged over/failing. Rust isn’t an issue. Corrosion in electrical connections, safety switches, grounds. Weather checked tires. Water in fuel. I would have loved for my dad to have had good storage for all of our farm equipment, we would have had a lot less down time.

The way I look at it, my truck has sat outside since the day it was new in 2005. It's a dually pickup and won't fit in my garage. I've kept it washed up, waxed, undercoated, and well maintained. It's not rusty at all. The front brakes are original despite the 150k miles on the clock. It's needed really very few things. I think a tractor is similar to a car. I don't argue keeping inside is preferable, but I think a vehicle or machine can still be well maintained and yet be stored outside and still expect a long service life.

Yes and no. No here in north idaho. Snow and cold, etc takes its toll on all equipment left outdoors. In so calif, I would not hesitate to leave something outside.

Arguably, you cannot compare the weather tightness of a cabbed truck to an open station tractor. Nothing on the truck is really exposed. Most tractors have fairly open engine compartments, and operator stations. Wires, hoses, sensors are all quite exposed to elements. My cars have lived outdoors most of their lives too, until recently… but I wouldn’t compare that to leaving my 72” ZTR in the elements for 10 years.

When I Sold my jd870 in 2010, the tractor was 14 yo with about 1500 hours. It still looked new. Got more than I paid for that tractor. It was under cover for entire time I owned it. That’s why it still looked so good.
everything I own is stored under cover. If I have no place to store it…..I dont buy it.
