I have often considered trading in my 3520H and upgrading to one with draft control, but not enough to actually do it... yet.
Regarding name brand oil, I agree whole heartedly, but I still buy Shell Rotella, because it makes me feel better than buying the generic stuff would. I am old enough to remember when Pennzoil 10W-30 was the WORST and would leave your engine encrusted with gunk. I switched to Quaker State back in the early eighties and used it until only recently when I went to full synthetic in everything I own. That's when I switched to the Shell Rotella. It's a little more expensive than the generic stuff, but the feeling of quality that I get from using it is worth the little extra I spend. Everytime I start my tractor, my mind can feel the quality oil coursing through it's engine.
I know that's what Shell was hoping for when they spent those millions on marketing, and I know I am spending extra money on something that I can't quantify, but I still do it.
I do however, buy the generic, Traveller premium hydraulic oil in 5-gallon cans from Tractor Supply for the other end of the tractor. I also use it in my Challenger 2-post automotive lift.
