Branson 4020 Hydraulic Problem?

MMMM...home grown tomatoes...nothing finer...except maybe a tractor that works like it should. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd be very interested to hear how your loader works and to see if mine is the only one that doesn't perform like I think it should.

My loader also drops quickly or slow, my choice. All other hydraulic functions work ok... now that they replaced my control valve. Except the bucket curl that is. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I agree with you on the hoses. Eventually I plan on replacing all hoses with the 4000 psi ones.

Lucky you...wish mine did. You know what I'm talking about then. I tried out a Century and it worked great.

Now I'm trying to find out if something is wrong with mine. My dealer says it is normal. I don't agree. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Anybody want to buy a "pos" Branson 4020 cheap?

I've about had it with mine. I blew another hydraulic hose. 3 total now. Fed up with the oil baths. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I only have 61 hours it.

After moving a pile of firewood... the bark, branches, dirt left under the pile... I tilted & lowered bucket to ground to scrape and push the junk back..."BANG" a hose blew.

I am so discussed with this tractor...wish I never would have bought it. I wouldn't recommend it to my worse enemy.

It needs to be replaced with a REAL tractor. Tired of it just being a pretty face. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Ron After reading this post all I can say is that you must have a lousy dealer, there is no reason for this, I have sold dozens and dozens of Branson tractors and I'm sure this is a simple fix, we just need to stay calm and walk through problem. It might be best if you call me. I will send you a private message. Jason

I hope Branson takes care of your problem; I have had my 3820 for a few month now and have had NO problems other than white smoke at start up. If they don't fix your tractor this will not set well!!!

We've seen a few of the 2600psi hoses blow, but never one of the 4000psi hoses that we used to replace the failed hose. The 2600psi hose is working too close to it's margins, and a little shock load that occurs before the pressure relief can relieve the load is too much for it. I would suggest you replace all three hoses, but obviously you have done that at this point after being anointed with oil thrice. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Now this isn't rocket science. The dealer can measure the pressure created in the rollback mode or in the lift mode, and he can also measure lift capacity if that is a problem. These loaders are strong! If working right, you should be very impressed instead of disgusted. I don't know your dealer, but if he is savvy at all, this shouldn't be a big deal.

Deliver it to California and I'd be glad to buy it. An hour or so in the shop and the loader would be working great.
