Branson C50/C50HL FEL??

Thanks for sharing... this thread made my life somewhat easier.

I am looking for a replacement pivot bolt for the skid steer handle on a C50-HL.

I imagine I am not the only one with this problem, so I will post it here in the hopes of finding a solution or helping someone else.

My 2004 Century 2535 with the C50-HL Front Loader Attachment was fitted with a quick release Skid Steer (2 levers). The pivot bolt on the left lever broke and I have tried to chase down a replacement bold.

The folks I bought it from no longer sell Century, so they referred me to a Branson dealer. The Branson dealer had me look at the manufacturing plate, which shows this is a Humpalec made FL-030-HL and it was made for American Jawa/Zetor. That sent me back to the original dealer who is the Zetor dealer.

They called Zetor and were told that they can try to order the part from the Czech republic, but they have not idea when or if I will get the bolt. They suggested I go back to my machine shop and make my own.

The metric bolt is 82 MM long.

The head is 25 mm in diameter(circular) and 3 mm thick. One side of the head is grinded away.
The next step/section is 14 mm in diameter and 19 mmm long
The next step is 10 mm in diameter and 60 mm long with the last 20 mm threaded.

I could easily take a long 10 MM bolt and put a 14MM sleeve on part of it, but it would be nice to find an original part.

I am going to try my luck with Horst tomorrow. Maybe they are the ones that created the skid steep adapter for the C50-HL and they stock/sell this bolt.

Wish me luck or if anyone knows more about finding this bolt, let me know!

Thanks

If you have access to a machine shop (& necessary basic skills) it would be easy enough to fabricate.
If you don't it might be possible to talk a local Voc Tech school into a mini project for you.

I wrote to the the trac-lift folk a short while ago about something else on the C50-HL, they replied in English.

Lets see,,,,
This is who replied to me;
Berka Karel <karel.berka@trac-lift.cz>
...and of course I don't know which is first/last name.

PS to last message;
I just remembered that my C50-HL skid steer adapter came through initially with Farmtec handles and when I bought standard pallet forks they wouldn't fit. I took some measurements that showed the skid steer mount was not to spec, so I took the tractor in and they swapped out the mount, no more Farmtec handles. They said the original one had been a prototype - more like a back room hack job.
Anyway, I think the Skid steer adapter part is sourced in USA, I'll look for a manufacturer's plate on that tomorrow. If so it might make it easier to get parts.

Thanks for your feedback. I am pretty sure my next step is to head to the machine shop.

I did try Horst and it quickly became apparent that they were not the source of the Skid Steer adapter since they only use English bolts/nuts.

The broken bolt is metric, which points more and more to a Czech origin.

I'll let you know if I find anything else.

I just checked mine, I even took the bucket off to see if there were any half hidden manufacturer's identification marks anywhere.
NOTHING found, which I find a little bit weird, but my background is in stuff that has mfg ident marks of some sort on just about every part and sub assembly.

I would have expected marks, ESPECIALLY if these assemblies are exported/imported as options.

Old thread, I stumbled onto it while I was looking for the lift capacity of my C50HL - 2450lbs to full height seems to be the answer, 3400 or so breakout force.
BECAUSE...

I was browsing snow ploughs and front blowers.
Too late for THIS year, but maybe next year.

BTW Curtis has a skid steer compatible frame that APPEARS to be pin for pin compatible at the front end with their truck plows.
i.e. with one of these I could mount a regular 1 ton pick-up truck snow plough.
Accessories Literature
double click on "Front End Loader Blade Sell Sheet".
Wondering if I could buy that and find an old curtis plough off a truck that would fit...

BONUS:
They are barely 20 miles from where I live and I will be going within 5 miles of there on Thursday - - WITH a few hours to spare.

I have resigned myself to the fact Ill be making a custom mount for either a plow like the one your considering or a snow blower...:(

guess it will keep me busy!

Further browsing... It turns out that just about ALL the significant plow manufacturers build skid steer mounted version; Fisher, Meyer, Boss, Western, et al.
They ain't cheap.

I think an easier/better deal may be to roam Craig's list sometime in August and pick up a whole truck plow rig at a low snow season price.
I have been looking at those and I think a skid steer plate would go right on the back of the lift frame.
I even think it could be bolted on with some FAT U-bolts / muffler pipe clamps - something like that.
The BIG advantage with that scheme is that if it doesn't meet expectations it could be sold on for little more than a couple of years' depreciation.
Could even MAKE money if sold IN snow season - like THIS year.
====================================================
That one handle mount I think is called a "Euro" - trouble is converting to skid steer would make your bucket incompatible.
I think there may be (was ?) a Euro to SSQA adapter on the market 10 years or so ago. I thought about that but decided the SSQA would be a better plan, my dealer gave me a no cost option to go either way.
The SSQA has made shopping for pallet forks, grapple, etc a lot easier - spouses may not think that is a GOOD thing though :D
{search break, I'll be back in a few...}
If you want the option to use either/both and are willing to spend the money these might work;
Quick Attach adapters
