I wonder if they ever heard of a wreaking ball or implosion. Looks like an acident waiting to happen. Must be dumber and dumberer construction co.

Should have waited till winter, filled it up with water. When water freezes, will crack it like a peanut. :D

When you look at the cost of a track hoe with a hammer, a crane large enough to lift it to such height, and today's competitive price world, it's not the work of dumber and dumber. It's obviously smart and smarter doing what they have to do to make a buck.

It's obviously quite smart and in reality safe. The operator of the hoe cuts out three new places to locate the legs. The crane lowers him onto his new lower pads. He cuts out his old pads and then on down to the next desired level. It wouldn't surprise me to find out he cut down fifty feet or so a day.

That does look like a lot of fun.

As long as you trust your equipment and skills then what is there to be afraid of?

If that's the size of the chimney that is left after the fire, imagine how big the house used to be!!!!

As long as the operator doesn't decide that it is break time and because of force of habit, idle down the machine and swing the cab door open, then jump out to go get a coffee, he should be good.

I could be wrong, but looks to me like the legs are going to need extensions when it gets a little lower.... I think it's bigger at the base than at the top.. hope he doesn't fall in:eek: It wouldn't be my first pick for seat time!

Just guessing here but could they be doing it that way because they only want to take a little off the top?

Yeah that's the ticket. :D The Feds said it was too high for the airport nearby and they needed to trim it down a little. ;)
