Hi Folks,

Just wondering what type of break in routine I need to use for my new Z-Force 50. I understand I need to change the oil and filter after 5 hours of use . . . anything else . . .

Should I avoid long periods of full throttle, should I vary throttle speeds?

Anything to avoid durning the first hours of use?

thanks

Oh and . . . there was an old school of thought that suggested you use an rag covered in WD40 to wipe down the frame and deck of you mower . . . instead of waxing it or anything . . . what do folks recommend to prevent rust and paint deterioration ?

thanks

Just run it normally & change the engine oil & filter after 5-10hrs. There is no real way to vary the throttle while under use as you need full throttle for the mowing deck and hydro /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. WD40 is one heck of a cleaning agent, fairly good water repellant, not much of a lubricant. It works great to get adhesives, tar, & sticky gooey stuff off! It wont hurt your paint/finish at all.
G/luck

Check in the Owner's Manual. With the tractors (mine at least) there was a break in schedule for both the engine and the PTO clutch.

I would suspect the RZT would have the same ... but maybe not.
