Welcome back!!! I missed you!!:)

Soooo good to hear from you again, sounds like tough times, but you are a tough fellow and clearly on the mend, physically and emotionally.... sure, some more to go, but then, so do we all:D And, we're all pulling for you!

Glad you have the land and tractor.... with that, you are in a good position to rebuild... and, resting the land is a reasonable thing to do!

Been waiting on the day when we could hear that tone in your voice again!! Just glad your back, and I really need to straigten you out already. That isn't my tractor, as lord knows I have enough tractors for my little spread. However, you better take good care of that FEL (you do remember what that FEL stands for, don't you) cause that is the piece of YOUR tractor that I put claim to when you first bought it.
Did you mention what your new business is? Somebody might have a need for whatever it is, provided mentioning it isn't against the rules.
Welcome back,
David from jax

Thanks for setting me straight on the FEL. The last couple of years of my life are a bit of a blur right now, so I'm kind of fuzzy on some of the details. I'll try to be more precise when referring to your FEL now. ;) By the way, sorry about those two broken digging teeth. Guess I've been using it as an FED (Front End Digger) or FETPO (Front End Tree Pusher Over). When I was out there I remembered reading something in that huge thread about the benefits of using a back hoe to take out trees rather than chain saw and then dig out the stump. In that thread someone made a comment about there being a sweet spot on some trees where you can push on the tree and have it plop right over. So, I tried it. I actually got the first two to do just that. They plopped over and the roots even popped out of the ground. Very easy clean up. Then I tried it on a little bit bigger maple tree and the only thing that popped was one of the teeth on the FETPO. :(

Oh well, you live, you learn, you fix what you broke learning, and then you start the cycle over again living. :D

I don't know what the protocol is for mentioning what my new business is, but I updated my profile for those who are curious, and of course I'd be happy to share with anyone. This is the best job (for me) in the whole world. Not that everyone is cut out for it, but this is my calling. I get to help people when they are in need, and that is awesome. But, more than that, it's not just what I get to do in this job, it's who I get to do it with. I am working with a partner who got me into this business. This is Lindsey:

She's the most amazing gift in my life. I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful she has been to me. We've been working together since November and are now dating. She will be a very vital part of that rebuilding plan in my life.

and next time, it will be allot better...
It already is! I am a lot wiser on this side of things and probably a much better person than I was. God has been working overtime in my life to help make me better. He's used the tragedies in my life these last couple of years to change me and how I view life in general and certainly how view I the people I come in contact with. That's part of why I'm in a new career, I want to be able to help people, to serve them, to give of myself, and I've found a way to make a living doing just that.

Thanks again to everyone for chiming in here. I am so happy to be back on TBN and am looking forward to being back on my 6610, using sandman's FETPO to start back on those projects that lie in wait.

Spive,

Can not emphasize enough the value of good woman to complete a man (steering the guy in the right direction:D). Lindsy certainly has a contagious pretty smile. Wish you all the best.

Though I did not know you when last you were here, welcome back anyway!

It seems to me that you've begun a wonderful new chapter in your life. I think it'd be symbolic to start a new thread for that chapter. You'll always have the old thread here to remember the good, the bad and the lessons learned from where you came. And the new thread will be the tale of what comes next. Whatever that is, best of luck with it!

Of course this is just my opinion and you're welcome to keep updating this thread if that feels best to you.

Hi Spiveyman.

I am pretty new to TBN and just read your thread. It's amazing how a person can feel like they can sort of "know" somebody just through a computer site. Interesting thread and lots of ups and downs just like "real life"!

Congrats on getting through the tough times, it sure sounds like you are back in the saddle and ready to ride with Lindsey at your side! I look forward to reading your posts in the future.

I was curious, so I read your bio, and now I'm both curious and confused. Your a duck?

Are you saying that you are now an insurance salesman?

Hello Tom and welcome back. I had thought of you in the past few months. I knew from your last posts that there was something wrong in your life and you said you would post back later. Well, this is a lot later but better later than never.

You seem like a hard working guy so I know you will have the farm back to running again.

I am also glad you are back. I saw a few of your post on other threads and could not believe you were posting again. I am glad you made it through your storm, keep your eyes open for the next one. I look forward to your adventures again. JC
