Welcome to TBN. Its nice that with your first post you've pissed off John Deere, Yanmar, Kioti and Mahindra owners.
Some of us owners of the "other" brands (I own the "cheaper knockoff of Kubota") would be happy to point out that while the Kubota is well built, its lack of ability to operate its hydraulics at lower rpms and low breakout and lift capacities are more of a hinderance than some plastic parts and "sloppy engineering".
Fair enough, I know whatever brand you choose you will offend somebody though and everyone wants to know why you bought what you did so I said it like I saw it . Customers privilege.
But to put my perspective on your comments I will say this. JD makes great commercial tractors ,yanmar makes excellent engines. If I was buying a marine diesel it would be a yanmar , no question. If I was in the market for a farm tractor I would seriously consider JD . Mahindra ? sorry but at this stage I just would not feel confident .Re Kioti I just could not see the value in saving a few thousand . I hope you have good fortune with yours .
Re hydraulics I was taught that you should avoid running them at low rpms because lack of back pressure means shock loads can cause damage . Its not good for engines either . I like to feel and regulate pressure as I work hydraulics so that I have more control. Low pressure low rpm's mean slower response . Not good when handling heavy loads . Id rather burn more fuel than end up looking a fool.
Re break out it may be that the max pressure on the release valves are set lower to protect the system and keep a greater margin of safety for the operator . Understandable in my opinion . Many serious accidents are caused by overloading the machine . Seen it many times .
When I need serious lift and grunt I hire it for the day . I have run big excavators and built roads with them . But I dont have any big illusions about my BX , its a toy in comparison , but for what I need 90% of the time its plenty. I will be moving lots of gravel and stone with it soon . Lets see what it can do then . If it saves me pushing a wheel barrow all day im sure ill be happy with its lifting limits in comparison.
