The Iraqis buried most of the MIGS and Mirages around Balad. They did not want them destroyed. Too bad, their plans did not work out. The planes were collected and drag to a plane graveyard at the end of the airstrip. The folks said to be careful. Never know what might go off without warning.

I thought this would make a funny picture. So that you don't think the Army is completely nuts, here is some background info. The water for the toilets, sinks, and showers is trucked in. It is purified, but for health and safety reasons they tell us not to drink the water or use it for brushing our teeth. We have bottled water for that. I just think the placement of this sign could have been better.

Ya know you would think the guys in the army would not need a sign to stop them from drinking from the toilet. Even the Navy knows better.....

I've gotten several more emails from Brent, have not been sharing them because, well I guess I have no good reason. But I can sum it up by saying that he is doing well.

I did want to share this one photo, it didn't come from him, but it really sums up the whole reason why these guys are so dedicated to the cause. It also sums up the reason why we should all be so grateful for our members who serve in the armed forces.
