Bro-Tek Spacers

Has anyone purchased these spacers? If so are you happy with them?
I am very impressed with their customer service I emailed them Sunday morning expecting to get a reply sometime this week but got a response same day.

Here is their response and what the sell for my tractor.

I would like to first thank you, for your interest in our products.
We sell the spacers per set (Set/Kit= 2 spacers for the Rear or the Front).The set is always supplies with the all the hardware needed for the installation.
Our spacers are sold by the width of the Spacer, so if we sell a 2" set, that will give the tractor 2" per side for a total of 4" increase in stance.
All our spacers are stackable, which means you can bolt them together. Making these stackable you have the option to add wider stance at anytime in the future.

Below are the spacers available for your MF GC1705 tractor.

Front 1.25" kit: $160
Rear 1.4" kit: $180
Rear 2" kit: $190
Rear 3" kit: $240

I am a little concerned about how tippy the tractor is. Most of my property is on a hill and I have learned to proceed very slowly because it does not take much to pick up a rear or front wheel.

I've seen threads where people have referred to using them. You can search the forums. I want to say I've seen conflicts with mower deck wheels depending on which deck you have but again you'd have to look.

THE conflict seems to be if you use more than 2 inch spacer and it pushes wheels out to interfere with mid mount mower.... If not using mid mount mower there does not seem to be a issue...

I have a GC1720 and the 2-in Bro-Tek spacers. These are the widest you can go and not interfere with a MF 2326 drive-over MMM. They are fantastic. And when the instructions say 'thin-wall socket' they mean it. The tolerances are tight, but manageable. I have many elevation changes out in the yard and I didn't want to have to keep driving 'around' to approach slopes from only a single direction. It feels much more stable and I can safely traverse any of my slopes up-down or transverse now. But always exercise caution and carry all loads as low as feasible.

I have a set of 1.5”, that I ran on my 1710 and will run in the 1723. I only use mine for winter, chain clearance so I can’t speak of deck interference. Very nicely made product.

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I'm going with the 3 inch rear and the 1.25 front. I do not have nor do I plan on buying that EXPENSIVE MMM. I have a rough cut mowers for the MF and my Kubota has a 60 inch MMM, if I can keep it running without overheating. again thank you all.

I've been on travel and sorry for late comment. I use 6" Bora brand spacers on one of my Kubota B2150's. The reason I went with Bora instead of Bro-tek was partly because the Bro-tek did not offer as much as 6" spacing per side. Unless you use a belly mower I do not think you will see any interference issues. I even had a welding shop make me a set of new ground following wheel support rails for the MMM that clear the wider wheels and WILL allow me to use the 60" MMM on my Kubota. That works fine too.

I can tell you that the B2150 went from very unsafe on steep ground to comfortable and very stable at any approach angle on 40% slopes using 6" spacers. Daylight and dark difference!

I am 100% happy with the Bora units. Well made, precise fit, all the tiny details figured out, etc.

BY THE WAY there is no need for front spacers at all unless you are picky about the track on the grass or some other issue. So far as stability on steep ground, front spacers do absolutely NOTHING to improve your stability or resistance to turnover! Your front axle is pivoted in the middle and thus the wheel spacing in front is irrelevant.

Two other larger Kubotas than mine, owned by my renters, use 6" per side spacers with great results. They are two other brands (one steel and one alum bought at a dealer.)

My advice is take the $ you would have put into front spacers and buy wider rear spacers.
