My Woods BH6000 is being put on right now. As soon as I get the bucket measurements to Richard, I will be getting the ripper and thumb.
I was just about to order a Bro-Tek thumb with Paypal. The total with shipping was $450 for the thumb and top link (removing the top link doesn't change the shipping since he does flat rate USPS). However, to my surprise I found during checkout with Paypal that Richard wants the customer to absorb a $13 and change Paypal fee also. While Richard might be a good guy to deal with, this seems a little underhanded. This coupled with the fact he doesn't provide a phone number or location is of at least some concern to me. I've had dealings with Canadian vendors in past that operate like this and it's never turned out well.
BXpanded also makes a thumb and they are easy to get in contact with.
Richard promptly updated the Paypal request to offset the fee, so my concerns have vanished. Nice to see someone do right by the customer without the fight that so often comes with many transactions these days. Now if I could only get the dealer I bought the machine from to do the same. I still think a phone number/address should be provided though.
I contacted BXpanded and was told they don't have a thumb yet that will work with the Massey. I do have the BXpanded tooth bar though and love it.
