...And as to it voiding the warrenty in "black and white", most of us DONT get an owners manual UNTIL we have purchase the tractor. So UNLESS the dealer told him of the warrenty issues, how was he to know????
Well, I have a CK 30 with Woods BH-70x and I have to say this warranty issue is news to me. The Woods BH was recommended over the Kioti BH by my dealer because of the stronger Woods mount and the Woods optional factory thumb. Never was I told this could affect my warranty.
IMO, the Woods BH mount is FAR superior to the Kioti mount. The Kioti mount doesn't seem to be strong enough and there have been plenty of people complain about them breaking. When I bought, I was concerned about how the mount would hold up, not the tractor.
Since both sides cracked, You really have to wonder if this wasn't an installation issue. Yes, any manufacturer can have defects in a casting or part, but to have two defects in same part on two different sides, that seems highly unlikely. I also don't think it's a design problem with the Woods sub frame, if it were, there would be lots of people complaining about the same problem. It really sounds like the dealer over tightened the bolts as somebody else has already mentioned.
Regardless of if it's a Kioti defect, a Woods design issue or a dealer installation issue, as long as it's within 1 year (Woods warranty in effect as well), you should be able to drop your tractor off with the original dealer and pick it up a couple days later as good as new. The dealer should act as a broker between Kioti and Woods and take responsibility for their own work, and however it's paid for should be non of your concern.
P.S, I totally agree with the second Kioti dealer. Sounds like he was willing to fix it under warranty, but the second that Kioti gave him resistance, he didn't want to get stuck in the middle.
