Yesterday while spraying a pasture sideslope I broke a front shock. Apparently something flew up and through my fender. I'm a bit disapointed as my other equipment traverses this same pasture without difficulty or mechanical failure. In fact I continued my spraying operation with my stock Ford Explorer without difficulty. Has anyone else had this problem?

I belive it's a B. How do you differentiate between A,B, and C?

The C has independent suspension.

Mine has solid axles so it must be a B.

The 'A' model has a box boom (can't see through the middle) and white arms from the boom to the tilt mechanism.

The 'B' model has a box boom (can't see through the middle) and black arms from the boom to the tilt mechanism.

The 'C' model has a two piece boom that is open in the middle (can see through).

The 'D' model is the only model (currently) with independent rear suspension.

OK mine is a B model.

Thank you both for your clarification. Any one else had shock/spring failure.

As I recall, Dylan had rear leaf spring failure, not shock failure.

Do not recall anyone else having shock breakage.

hi guys
I broke both rear springs this winter.

I had a problem with one front spring when i first purchased the machine. it sat 3-6" lower on one side than the other. the dealer replaced that spring and it was good for a week and then it happened again. he replaced the spring a second time and it has been good for two years now.

Makes me wonder if there was a run of defective shocks early on. I have only 360 hours of residential (not commercial) use on my toolcat. Anyone with more info./input?
