Broken Keys for 2006 4320, not anymore

I eliminated the key switch entirely on my Kubota's. Replaced the key switch with 2 push to contact buttons. One for the glow plugs and one for the starter solenoid.

Don't get concerned about theft at all as they are insured for ACV and kept in the barn anyway.

Ain't knockin your knees on it up there!! Good job but yeah, I'd get an umbrella key.
My tractor has the switches and engine shut off in the absolute worst places also.
Or my knees are.

Put a slit in a plastic bottle cap the right size to shield the switch and seal the key with silicone. The Key could be a pretty darn tight fit through the plastic cap.

I like momentary push button capped with the rubber boot for the starter solenoid. With a separate Button for glow plugs.

Today's Key switches are junk overall from overseas.
Buy a 69 Ford truck ignition switch, (old stock)
Start Buttons built for industrial machinery are beefy.
Keys are for honest people. If someone wants your tractor a couple jumper wires will start it. I like start buttons; you can add a separate main battery disconnect but that adds another source for bad connections.

I leave keys in the ignition until the break then use buttons.
People that know me know what I would do to a thief. I'm not a playing tough guy but I would hurt a thief. I know consequences!

Put Vaseline on the face of your switch. Put some silicone inside a plastic cap with your key centered through. (tight fit)
Put the key in the switch and let it sit for a few days.
The Vaseline won't let the silicon stick to the switch face. Turn the key and the plastic cap together to relieve any sticking the first turn.
You will have a custom shaped sealed key.

Trim any silicone that ozzed around the cap and paint.

I understand and respect Harry's point, but that switch can be sealed
Or buy the umbrella key shown.
For the OP the key annoyed him. He made a change to suit his needs.

My suggestion may be Apollo 13 or half ### but would work.
