Tractor
John Deere 1025R
I broke my rear window on my 1025R 2018 JD Tractor a few weeks ago.
I got a new window for $1,263.81 and put it in myself - no problem.
BUT, I will not buy another one if I unfortunately do it again. I saved the old parts and put it all together again with 1/4 inch plywood and plexiglass.

I hope that it will be just a spare part for if I do break it again. Here are some pics . . . . . . . (Also the tool I made to screw (or hold) the inside nut part.)

Most handy tractor - I had my rake in the ballast box and forgot that it was there when I raised it while the rear window was open !!!!! Oooops ! Expensive rake !!

my brother in law raised his vertical splitter into the rear glass and managed to bend the hinges without breaking the glass. he got lucky. did you experiment with how big a cutout you can get away with while keeping enough structural integrity. seems like a big difference in visibility.

Man I thought the rear glass on my Kubota l6060 it was pricey at $450. That's a ridiculous price

Is that a flat glass panel? It is quite likely a local glass shop could make you a piece of either tempered glass or laminated glass for a lot less.

If you make one use UV resistant PolyCarbonate, aka Lexan or Tuffak. Much stronger stuff, far more scratch resistant.
