Broken Stick Shifter

The 1st/Reverse slider is in the 1st gear position. However I can稚 tell from the angle of the picture whether the 2nd/3rd Slider is in Neutral.
Here is a picture of the transmission in Neutral. I suggest that you move that 1st/Reverse slider back so that the gear it moves is between the 2 gears below it as shown. Then adjust the 2nd/3rd slider if necessary so the they are next to each other as you can see. This should put your transmission in Neutral so there is no dilemma when installing the gearshift and cover.

Thanks everyone for your answers and support. Gotter up and moving again! Shifting the tractor in neutral was the best way I found to get the job done, as I was unsure on what gear I was in. I may take in all apart again as I ripped the gasket in the process and want to get replacement parts and do it right next time.
