BTW, I've got 1.5 years of junior college. So there!! :D :D

If you would have comepleted your second year, maybe you would have understood my entire post :D :D I found out today that New Holland is going to fix the tractor by replacing the long block, and also the bellhousing and bolts. My BIL did ask about replacing the tractor at New Hollands expense and just installing his used tires and loader on the new unit. He was told that New Hollands policy is the repair cost must be at least 80% of the unit cost for them to consider complete replacement. This includes the loader in the total cost since the loader and tractor were bought at the same time and combined before delivery, which puts him pretty far away from 80% where he may have been in the ball park if he had just bought the tractior and later added the loader. Anyway, the dealer has been great about the whole thing so far, they now have the tractor and are figuring a week or so to get it repaired. The BIL seems to be very pleased with both New Holland and the dealership so far for standing behind their product.

Hehe.. Good one, but is doesn't take a college grad to understand BS. :D :D ;)

Ok I'm done. Glad the tractor is going to be fixed. Everyone wants a new tractor or new whatever when it breaks...but as a 12 year ase mechanic, and me as a former mechanic, that's rarely done. If it is swapped out then whole item usually goes back to the factory for a look. It's usually cheaper to fix and it's spelled out clearly in the warranty. :(

RobJ, I`ve been thinking today about this argument that we have been having for a day or so. I would like to apoligize to both you and the TBN members for the "if you would have completed your second year" comment. In reading some of your other post in other forums last night, I realized that you were probably trying to make your point{which you have a right to make} with some light hearted sarcasm rather than an attack on my character, which is how I took it. If it was an attack on my character, I still apoligize, because insulting somebody is still wrong and there is no excuse for it. I agree with you, that it is time to end the argument and move on. I would like to ask you to rejoin this discussion if you wish and post your take on the tractor situation whether I agree with you or not. I will keep you and your family in my prayers that with the hurricane heading towards Texas this weekend. God bless, Ryan.

Hmmm, well thanks for your thoughts. We are ready for Ike. But no apology needed please. You didn't harm me or offend me in ANY way. I wouldn'tcall it an argument either. Actually I took your second year comment as you understood I was kidding around a bit and you weren't taking me serious. But on points I am stating my feelings. They are just my .02 cents, worth that much. I do speak from expierence and I don't make stuff. Which is why me and many others don't have all the answers to all the questions. But you can list 182 years of expierence, but NH is still going to do what they think is correct.
