Congratulations! We just got the 4x version. No loader but equiped with the hydraulics if we decide to add. Nice job with the fencing. I do alot of fencing and use the no-climb horse fence. For now I use a post hole digger and it would be great to add an attachment to the 5045. Good Luck!

Nothing runs (and looks) like a John Deere. What a great tractor you bought. I bet it will put you in a better mode just sitting on it. Q u a l i t y!

You know, I realize to many it may be a small thing, but I really like the square fenders that go all the way over the tires. Good for mounting stuff..

I also really like the lack of plastic around the instrument panel..

Brought her home tonite! What a machine! It's not my first tractor, but it's my first NEW tractor...:D

Man that is nice. Better save those pictures - it will never as clean again. :)

One year update: Still LOVING this tractor after a year of ownership! What a back-saver... I never knew how much I'd use a loader. I use it ALL THE TIME!

Just a quality piece of equipment. Have not had any issues. The only thing I've done to it is add the Deere canopy and fluid in the tires... If anyone is on the fence about buying a 2wd with a loader, just do it! This rig WORKS!

bgl,

How is the loader working out on this 2WD tractor. I am very close to buying the same rig. I assume that you have a 512 loader. The dealers around the North part of the state try to discourage loaders on 2WD tractors. I think they have a marketing agenda behind this as opposed to a practical reason.

No problem at all with the loader on my 2WD. It's a great rig. I use it for everything! I have fluid in my tires, so that probably helps. It's extremely stable. The power steering is very powerful, so even with a bucket full of sand I can turn with one finger.

I don't regret anything about it. And I don't miss 4WD?
