I just got these pictures from a friend on the Brown Recluse Spider.

The pictures are the different stages of the bite area.

They like the darkness and tend to live in storage sheds or attics or other areas that might not be frequented by people or light.
If you have a need to be in your attic, go up there and turn on a light and leave it on for about 30 minutes before you go in to do our work.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR RELATIVES AND FRIENDS!

Geeees.......I think you need to post a warning for anyone with a weak stomach or someone viewing those photos after dinner. That's absolutely terrible, not to mention disgusting. People will be moving back to the city in droves!!
Regards, Mike

Had a buddy who got bit by one of those when installing a swimming pool liner. Swelled up just the same, ended up in the hospital, but the skin didn't seem to get quite as necrotic and disgusting. Nasty little buggers!!!

What was the treatment at the hospital?
I have found those spiders in the tractor shed, in the storage area and in the bedroom! Thanks for sharing, I guess. I hope I can get some sleep tonight.

Can't remember what the treatment was. I can only imagine antibiotics and steroids to control inflammation and whatever else to make the person comfortable.

Had a friend react to one of those spider bites in a bad way. At least I thought it was bad before I saw your friend. That for sure is the worst I have seen.
