Wow, never heard of this. I stop all the time with my Hustler X One, and never had any spots appear. Between the fan on the motor and on each hydro unit, there isn't much of chance of heat buildup. Sounds like Hustler knows how to build a mower
I think the heat management is the issue, as well as muffler location. My Exmark ZTR has the ZT-2800 hydro motors which are better suited for the size machine compared to the non serviceable ZRT-2200 that my neighbors CC has. His hydros get much hotter than mine do, his muffler is also closer to the ground as well.
