ANy ideas before I tear it apart? I was pushing/lifting huge brush piles with my BX when I noticed my tach was not working. I a pretty sure the ignition switch did not work as well. I kept working and was wondering how to shut it off...it died about 45 minutes after I noticed the problem. My guess is a branch split a wire and the BX died after the battery did because the alternator to battery connection was gone. Sound right and any first hand experience? If I am right I hope it is one easy wire to fix!

Check your fuses first. I seem to recal others tractors not shutting down when a certain fuse blows.

Were you able to get it running again ? fuses ok ? If you were working with brush- did you have the MMM attached ? or if it was off do you have a skid plate underneath ? As i recall when i was running a new wire for rops light, I noticed there is a single plastic sheathing running underneath with wires inside - hope none of the wires were cut.

A sharp branch ripped the battery ground wire off the bolt. The wire harness cover was also pierced but nothing inside was messed up. Both of these are next to the FEL arm on the right side of the tractor.
thanks

It is on the right hand side right behind the oil filter. It is the black cable off of the battery.
