Brush Cutter for Jinma

I will be useing a faster engine speed when I do my fall mowing. I did not know that I was supposed to use such a high engine speed. There is no green markings on my tach just a time gauge, and speed markings going to 2800 (2500 to 2800 are in red the rest are in white)
The manual that came with the tractor does not mention what speed to operate it in. The only thing that I can find in the manual about engine speed is a set of 3 graphs all three show the highest part of the arches between 1500 and 1800 rpm. So, I assumed that 1500 to 1800 was the operating speed.
Untill last spring I was useing the pto speed at 1000, a freind told me that the mower is ment for 540 not 1000 so, last fall I did the 540 speed mowing my feilds. But other than that it has been trial and error.
Good times in the marintimes

On the tach of my 2003 Jinma 284 there is a Green Line at 2350 rpm which is the speed at which you operate the PTO.

By the way I did 4 hours of Bush Hogging today with my 284 and my Ford 60" cutter. Not a single issue.

Your governor setup shouldn't allow the engine RPM to reach above 2400 RPM no matter how far forward you push the throttle lever. My full throttle runs just over 2300 RPM and that is where I set the throttle for mowing and chipper ops. Your throttle/governor should function the same...

Mine will run in the 2500/2600RPM range. I would have to go look at the tractor.

That is assuming the tachs on these high dollar tractors are accurate.

One of those two lockwired adjustment screws at the rear of the IP/governor should set the high RPM limit, and I think the other sets low or Idle RPM. I don't know which is which...

FYI: Professionally speaking it's called low idle and high idle.
