Advertisers around here have 2 prices; $20 and $40/ acre. As stated above, location has a lot to do with it considering make ready and travel time, access, condition of place, on and on. On mowing for hire, you never know "what's hiding in the grass" and it could cost you plenty. Big risk.

I mow in KY. I get $50-60 per hour or $35 per acre plus a travel charge.

I paid about $40/acre for weeds 5ft high. Farmer w big tractor and bat wing. Now that it is cut I maintain w my 5 foot mower.
