Bucket capacity and quick electrical question

So, I was wondering what cubic feet my bucket would hold. I have the H240 loader with a roughly 6' bucket. I tried looking that up on the john deere site and it doesn't list that option. What happened on this? I think my tractor is a 2016 5065e ft4 MFWD.

My next question should be simple and I just haven't had a chance to look yet, but my mfwd light does not come on anymore. The wires have come off the switch a couple times and one was disconnected when I looked the other day. Can I test for continuity on the switch to rule that out? I will have to check the wiring to make sure nothing got pulled there, but wanted to rule out the switch if it is that easy.

Of course you can check the switch for continuity. Opening and closing the switch will show short or open. Of course with the key turned on you don't want to do a continuity check. As far as your bucket capacity your best bet would be to measure and multiply length by width by depth. Of course you'll never fill the bucket to that volume as the open side will never face completely up.

I was more talking about disconnecting the wires and testing only the "switch" as I am assuming it is only open or closed when the linkage pushes in on the button as opposed to registering a certain voltage. I never know what they have going on electrically, so I thought I would check.

I had seen some people say they saw published capacities for their buckets somewhere, so I thought I would see if anyone knew where they found them. I could get a ballpark, but don't quite know how to figure the curve of the bucket anyway.

You could always fill the bucket with water and determine the cubic feet that way. There are 231 cubic inches per gallon.

Curious to hear what/why you need to know the capacity? Going to use it to measure something, like concrete, or dry goods? And how accurate do you need to know?
