YeeHaww, another guy from Nova Scotia !! Looks like you made a trip to Princess Auto for your rear lights, they look just like mine /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I notice you've chain hanging from your loader frame; how about a close up pic to show us how you've got that done.

The bracket is UMHF (at least I think those were the initials), the box is 1/8" plate. I didn't weld it tight so the water would drain out. Bracket is just sitting there hooked over bolt. Holds two lengths of chain ten feet long.

Steve,
What is the cylinder going to?

Bob,
I visited the sight and found a couple of waterproof switches, but could not find the modular bezels for mounting /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I like the look of yours mounted on the fender and wanted to change mine. I plan to add an outlet for hand-held lights so I'll end up with three switches. I currently have my switches under the dash. Can you offer any help finding the bezels on the web site (?part #).

16187F - Black Modular Bracket Rocker Switch

Well, this thread woulda been helpful about a month ago.

I ended up ordering a waterproof, dustproof Cole Hersey rocker switch from a local auto parts store for $10.50. But it took me a few weeks to track it down. I put it in the location that was set up for the auto 4x4 switch, so all I had to do was pull out the plastic plug and snap it in the hole.

For those of you that only need 1 switch, check some of the local auto parts stores first, as some of them can order in anything from their suppliers, even if it's an item they never stock.

So, I have a question for everyone that's already wired extra lights. Being a little lazy, I took the easy way out, and ran the power wire directly to the battery, instead of wiring it into the headlight switch. What's nice is that I can turn the lights on without the key. But I'm wondering if anyone else has done that, and then accidentally left the switch on and killed the battery. I figure as long as I'm thorough when shutting down, no problems, but all it takes is just one time forgetting, or one of the kids playing with the switches, and presto, I go out to find a dead battery. I kind of figured I'd wait until I kill the battery before I pull out the soldering iron and wire it up the right way. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Bandit . . . I took the easier way out and only went to the alternator stub instead of going all the way up to the battery. But I used lighted switches because I wanted visual confirmation that the switch was off.

Hi, I ran 2 20 amp fused circuits from the battery and 1 is a spare for future use. I used lighted switches, 2 underneath my headlight switch, its pretty hard to hit them accidentally. However, a kitty cat /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif or a playfull child might do me in one day. I could always put a relay in the circuits and controll it by the light or ignition switch, but I'll wait untill something happens. Just a thought, how about lights on the top of the bucket itself mounted in a square or round tubing for protection? Any thoughts anyone?
